About Miss Linda's Place
Miss Linda's Place features three bedrooms that can comfortable sleep five guests.

Guests have access to the whole home. There is a small office space off the back of the house with a separate entrance. While guests are allowed to use this space, during the winter months it is where the air conditioners are stored, and in the spring and summer months it is also used as an office space for our local tax collector a few hours a week. Tax payers know to come around the side of the house and should not disturb guests who are staying.
There is a laundromat located very close to the house and can be used during normal business hours. For stays of a week or longer, we will meet you at the house to welcome you and check id's, to ensure no third party booking. Long term guests will be required to allow cleaning crews to come in every two weeks to do general cleaning
Please note our house is not handicap accessible. All of the sleeping areas and the only bathroom are located on the second floor. There is no smoking allowed in any of the house, including the back porch/office area.
Nearby Attractions
We are located in the beautiful town of Roaring Spring and are within walking distance of the library and a local brewery and a coffee shop. Morrison's Cove is a beautiful area filled with farm land and lots of neat places to explore. We are located about 10 minutes from the Blair County Airport, 20 minutes from Altoona, 45 minutes from State College and 45 minutes from Raystown Lake.
Our History
Miss Linda lived in this house for many years. Several years ago, she had to move to a one-story, but has stayed local and still occasionally comes to visit. She was an excellent neighbor. We would often see her sitting out on the porch, visiting with friends or family. When our kids were playing outside, she would give them popsicles out her kitchen window. When our dogs needed cared for while we were away, she took care of them. And when we needed to hear what was going on in the neighborhood, she was the first person we called.
She has been a special friend for many years.
And so, when we decided to renovate her home and make it an Airbnb, we asked her if we could name the business after her, because, as we told her then, this will always be her home.
So welcome to Miss Linda’s Place! She is a grandmother, and great grandmother to many. It is our hope that you feel as at home as you would, if you were stepping into your own grandmother’s house!
